'Windows' Dashoody

For SS17 we urbanise a retro classic from the 60's, 70's and 80's. The Dashiki has never ever really been out of tune with what was considered fashionable... so for something that has always been a staple in relaxed wear... championed by black afro conscious activists and free love spreading hippies... its a blessing we were able to give the world our take on the dashiki coming from a SOUTH LONDON perspective... we needed them to be LOUD... like London... VIBRANT... like London and loose fitting for free movement... like London... we recently saw an og skater brand we respect in a big way release some west African style prints with the first black presidents face incorporated in the print design... we thought it would be hilarious... the mixed race east African on a hard body west African village print... obviously a satirical piece... our take on the dashiki aint no joke though... we added a fly little hoody and some rope draw string with a classic Beverly hills 90210 type fit... flavours range from poisonous dart frog to lion king mufasa... we got mad exotic flavours... all hand made by madam in the IrokoTree ware house... and you know what it be like... when mama makes it !
